1 dead after stabbing in High Point; suspect in custody

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- One man is dead after a stabbing at 602 South Road Monday afternoon.

High Point police Lt. Kevin Ray told FOX8's Adrienne DiPiazza a suspect is in custody.

Ray said the stabbing happened during a fight between two men inside the residence.

The victim was identified as 22-year-old Christopher Michael Kimbal. The suspect's identity has not been released.

This is High Point's fourth homicide this year, according to Capt. Mike Kirk with High Point police.

The investigation is ongoing.
