Convenience store in Winston-Salem robbed at gunpoint

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Winston-Salem Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Murphy USA Store at 3470 Parkway Village Circle Friday morning.

Police say the suspect approached the clerk and pulled out a handgun before demanding money from the register. The suspect left the business with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in a dark car, police say.

The vehicle was last seen heading West on Stafford Village Boulevard.

No injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing.
