Tennessee man attacked girlfriend who wouldn’t give him marijuana money, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Tennessee man is facing charges after he allegedly slapped his girlfriend and grabbed her neck when she declined to provide him with money for marijuana.

The victim told police that on Aug. 11 her boyfriend, Quinton Bowie, got mad after she refused to give him money to pay for the illegal drug, according to FOX13. She said he then grabbed her neck and slapped her in the face.

Bowie is charged with domestic assault with intent to cause bodily harm. Police say the girlfriend had bruised on her face and neck.
