Winston-Salem convenience store robbed at gunpoint

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem police are searching for multiple suspects involved in the robbery of a convenience store early Thursday morning.

A store clerk told police that the suspects walked into the Family Fare at 1427 W. First St. and asked for two packs of cigarettes before pulling out a gun when the clerk turned around to obtain them.

The suspects then demanded money from the register and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

There was no one injured during the incident and investigation is ongoing.
