Suspect sought after shooting in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A person was shot on Gatewood Avenue in Greensboro on Monday evening and police are searching for a suspect.

Officers responded to the 1800 block of Gatewood Avenue at 5:11 p.m. in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a victim with a gunshot wound, according to a news release from Greensboro police.

The victim was transported to a local hospital by EMS with a non-life-threatening injury.
