BROWNSVILLE, Texas — Authorities arrested two parents on drug charges after they allegedly tried to use their 19-month-old child to smuggle meth from Mexico into the United States.

The Houston Chronicle reports that Orlando Ramirez and Cynthia Uresti were stopped by authorities while walking into the U.S. through the Gateway International Bridge. Upon inspection, officers found six packets that contained a total of 7 pounds of meth.

Part of it was hidden on Uresti’s body and the other part concealed on the child.

Both Ramirez and Uresti are in jail and being held without bond.
