Man beaten; dog killed in Greensboro armed robbery

GREENSBORO, N.C. – A man was injured and his dog killed during an early morning robbery in the 5100 block of Lawndale Drive Saturday morning.

Police said the suspect repeatedly struck the victim about the head with a handgun before shooting multiple times, killing the victim’s dog.

The suspect then fled the area in an unknown direction.

The victim, who has not been identified, received minor abrasions.

The investigation is ongoing.
