Pedestrian struck by cab in Burlington, taken to hospital

BURLINGTON, N.C. — A woman is recovering after she was hit by a cab while crossing the street in Burlington Thursday night.

The incident occurred at about 10:44 p.m. in front of the M&M Mini Mart at South Mebane and Avon Street.

She was crossing the street and came in contact with the cab, police say.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim’s name has yet to be released and there are no charges against the cab driver at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
