2 injured during shooting in Greensboro; 1 suspect arrested

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Greensboro Police Department is investigating a shooting that left two people injured Thursday night.

At about 11:02 p.m., police responded to the 1100 block of Sykes Avenue in reference to an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, authorities located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both people were transported to a local hospital with injuries. One sustained life-threatening injuries and the other had non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested and detained one suspect.

The names of the victims are being temporarily withheld and the investigation is ongoing.
