BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington police are investigating an overnight robbery that occurred at the 500 Block of South Anthony Street.

At about 2:40 a.m., police responded to a robbery and assault call. Upon arrival, officers determined that a 51-year-old visually impaired male victim was assaulted and his wallet and cash were taken from him.

Because of the ailment, no description was given and authorities are searching for the whereabouts of the suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.
