PINNACLE, N.C. -- In this edition of Roy's Folks, meet a man from Pinnacle who build’s cigar box guitars.

As the name implies, Todd Neal builds many of his instruments out of old cigar boxes.

He also build custom boxes for guitar bodies and sometimes uses old license plates to give them a unique sound.

He got the itch to start building them when he saw some at a local festival.

After a little research, he tracked down well known builder named Bob Johnson. Johnson took Todd under wing and helped him get started.

Now he ships his guitars all over the world.
