Although it made for a great story, California resident Rodney Ginn did what you aren’t supposed to do when a bear charges you – record the incident.

In a Facebook post, Ginn described the moment.

“I came home from work my roommate was asleep both doors wide open so I shut them and looked in my kitchen and there she was with her two cubs.”

In the video, he took his phone out and began filming the incident. He finally ran into his room and shut the doors when he deemed the situation too dangerous.

After about an hour, the bears left through sliding doors.

As of Tuesday morning, the almost two-minute video has more than 109,000 views.
