Man found dead in Greensboro creek identified; homicide investigation underway

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police have identified the man found dead in a creek on July 25.

Greensboro police Public Information Officer Susan Danielsen said fingerprints were used to identify the man as 58-year-old Khuhn Sui, of Greensboro.

Sui died as a result of a single stab wound to the abdomen, according to preliminary autopsy results from the state Medical Examiner’s Office. His death is being investigated as a homicide.

Greensboro police said the body was found last Monday in a creek by the 1900 block of Fairview Street by somebody who called 911 at about 3 p.m.

Sui may have been in the creek for three to five days, Danielsen said.
