VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — A former hospital nurse in Florida was fired after she allegedly punched and slapped a man who was on life support.

Deanna Tackett is facing misdemeanor battery charges after the incident was caught on camera, according to WFTV.

Tackett reportedly pushed the life support patient’s head down and told him,” I’ve (expletive) had it with you.”

In addition, court documents say she hit punched the man in head and chest and slapped him.

“When the hospital was alerted to the incident, our leadership took immediate action and notified both state and local authorities,” the hospital said in a statement. “The employee involved was terminated immediately.”
