LEXINGTON, N.C. – A pedestrian was killed in Lexington on Friday night after being hit by a car.

The incident happened at 9:30 p.m. at Business 85 and West Fifth Avenue. The identity of the victim has not been released.

The victim was found in the median and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, a 2010 Honda Accord, was taken to Lexington Medical Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
