GASTON COUNTY, N.C. – A Gaston County man is the primary suspect in a spree of violent crimes in North Carolina.

The last crime occurred Wednesday, when Rashawn Dukes kidnapped his girlfriend and her 2-year-old son at gunpoint.

He allegedly forced his way into the woman’s house, forced her and her son into a taxi cab and went to a motel, according to WSOC.

At the motel, Dukes raped her in front of the infant.

Officials say that several family members saw the incident and called 911. Once they did, officers were able to track the taxi cab down and find the motel.

He is currently in jail and under a $1.1 million bond.
