NC Civil Air Patrol volunteer charged with indecent liberties

CONCORD, N.C. — A North Carolina Civil Air Patrol volunteer has been jailed after being charged with sex crimes, WBTV reports

David Joseph Greenberg, 35, of Charlotte, was charged with two felony counts of indecent liberties with a child. He is being held under a $500,000 bond.

According to arrest warrants, Greenberg “did commit and attempt to commit a lewd and lascivious act upon the body” of the alleged victim, who was under 16 at the time of the incident.

Cabarrus County Sheriff Brad Riley said that he expects additional charges to be brought by other agencies and jurisdictions.
