2 seriously injured in accident involving motorcycle in downtown Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Two people were seriously injured in an accident involving a motorcycle and another vehicle in downtown Greensboro on Friday afternoon.

The accident happened at the intersection of West Smith Street and North Edgeworth Street at 4:50 p.m.

A vehicle and a motorcycle collided in the intersection. The impact of the collision knocked the motorcycle off the street, where it caught on fire scoring the side of an apartment building.

Two people on the motorcycle sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to Greensboro police.

The identities of those involvedĀ in the wreck have not been released.

There is no word on charges at this time.
