JACKSONVILLE, N.C. — An unexpected visitor made a stop at Jacksonville City Hall Tuesday morning – luckily, it wasn’t there to fight.

After a passer-by spotted a young 3-foot-long alligator lying outside the city hall, animal control and wildlife officers were called in.

In a Facebook video posted by the Jacksonville North Carolina Government, you see animal control officers easily capture the gator, which has since been returned to its natural habitat.
