Woman’s body discovered in Rowan County

SALISBURY, N.C. — A woman’s body was discovered Friday morning in Rowan County, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said.

Dispatchers received a call around 6:30 a.m. regarding a female body that was lying on the side of Leonard Road, around the 3000 block area, officials said. The RCSO and Miller’s Ferry Fire Dept. were dispatched to provide any possible aid, but the woman was found deceased at the scene.

The victim has not been identified. The investigation is in its early stages at this time.

The RCSO has asked that anyone that may have a missing female should call for 1st Lt. Chad Moose at (704) 216-8687, or report information to Salisbury Rowan Crime Stoppers.
