New information, photos released about motorcyclist killed in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A week after a wreck involving an SUV, a motorcycle, and a tractor-trailer occurred on Reidsville Road in Winston-Salem, investigators have additional information about the tractor-trailer that hit struck the victim.

Matthiew Fletcher, 28, of Forsyth County was ejected from his motorcycle after hitting the back of an SUV. He was then hit by a tractor-trailer and pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a news release from the Winston-Salem Police Department, the tractor-trailer is a black Peterbilt tractor with red fenders and a silver cargo trailer. It also said the tractor was built between 1998 and 2002.

Investigators believe the truck is either an owner/operator or owned by a small business.
