HIGH POINT, N.C. -- The High Point Fire Department is investigating a house fire that killed one person overnight.

The fire, which occurred at 2426 Williams Ave around 1 a.m. Wednesday morning has been subdued and a full investigation is underway.

According to FOX8 reporter Jasimine Felder, there were two people in the home at the time of the fire - one survived and the other is now deceased.

The investigation is ongoing.
