It's a scary number -- three women are murdered every day by a male partner in the United States.

That number sheds light on how much of a problem domestic abuse really is.

Since 2013, 17 people in Guilford County alone were killed in a domestic assault.

Right here in the Piedmont, the Family Justice Center is doing a lot to help victims of domestic abuse.

The center has helped 5,000 victims already

L.t. Demarr Inman, with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, and Catherine Johnson, director of the Family Justice Center, visited FOX8 Tuesday to talk about how the center is helping domestic abuse victims.
