GREER, S.C. — New details have emerged after five South Carolina students were charged during a sexual assault investigation, according to WHNS.

In May, four female Riverside Middle School eighth graders were charged with possession of child pornography after police said a live Facetime chat showing a sexual assault was recorded and shared with other students.

On Thursday, deputies released new details about the case, saying a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on May 15. ¬†A boy reportedly texted the victim’s sister just after midnight saying the victim was drunk and passed out. When she couldn’t get a hold of her sister, she called police.

Deputies responded¬†to the 14-year-old suspect’s home and said he answered the door shirtless. They asked to see the victim. She was found lying naked on the bed in a pool of her own vomit.

The victim was reportedly unable to stand on her own and was taken to the hospital.

The suspect’s parents were out of town at the time.
