Jamestown man shot at gas station in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Winston-Salem Police Department is investigating a shooting at a gas station Monday night.

According to a news release from the Winston-Salem police, a woman walked into the Citgo at 3407 Old Lexington Road in Winston-Salem at about 9:55 p.m. and shot a 53-year-old Jamestown man several times with a handgun.

The suspect was last seen walking north across the parking lot.

The victim was taken to Baptist Hospital and is currently in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no current evidence to indicate the incident was a robbery.
