Multiple people arrested after large fight at High Point park

HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point police made multiple arrests after they broke up a large fight in City Lake Park.

According to HPPD dispatchers, a High Point park ranger called for additional officers at 4:01 p.m. Monday.

The ranger reported a large fight in progress. Six officers responded to the scene.

Officers at the scene said they will maintain a presence in the park to keep order

An estimated 3,000 people were in the park this afternoon, authorities said.

The identities of those arrested have not been released.

It is not clear what caused the fight or how many people were taken into custody.
