KERNERSVILLE, N.C. -- Many businesses took the time to honor fallen and missing service members today.

If you stopped by the Chick-fil-A on South Main Street in Kernersville, you may have noticed a place setting next to the front counter with an American flag on the plate.

The table has an empty chair and a bible.

It’s called the "Missing Man Table." It is meant to honor service members who went missing while overseas.

Several Chick-fil-A restaurants across the country have set up a "Missing Man Table."

Chick-fil-A told WOIO it wants men and women in service to feel honored today, as well as every day, and this is just one way to show appreciation.
