GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are investigating after a woman was found on a Greensboro road with a stab wound early Sunday morning.

Greensboro police said officers responded to the 3900 block of Overland Heights at about 3:46 a.m. in reference to an assault.

Officers found a victim in the roadway with a stab wound. She was taken by emergency workers to a local hospital for treatment, according to police.

No suspect information was available. The investigation is ongoing.
