WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man has been charged with murder in connection to a man who was shot and killed outside a Winston-Salem strip club.

Sierras Cobb was arrested by U.S. Marshals at about 8 a.m. Sunday in Greensboro and charged in connection to the death of 41-year-old Eric Jermane Pegues.

Police responded to the shooting at 2:47 a.m. Wednesday at Paper Moon Gentlemen’s Strip Club at 1007 Salisbury Ridge Road in Winston-Salem.

Authorities determined that Pegues was shot multiple times as he stood in the parking lot, near the entrance to the business.

The shooting occurred as the business was closing and investigators have not located any evidence to indicate that the shooting was preceded by any type of altercation or argument. However, investigators do not believe this was a random act.

The suspect has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and is being held in the Forsyth County Detention Center. Officials have yet to release a bond and court date.
