CONCORD, N.C. — The Sea Life Charlotte-Concord Aquarium’s zebra shark predicted that Dale Earnhardt Jr. would emerge victorious at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 this weekend.

According to a news release from the aquarium, the shark chose Earnhardt Jr. over Jimmie Johnson as he picked the No. 88 flag first as the two were lowered into its tank.

The zebra shark joins several animals that have made game predictions including a Sea Life Aquarium resident from Germany, who acted as a FIFA World Cup predictor and correctly selected 11 of 13 matches.

The Coca-Cola 600 airs live on at 6 p.m. Sunday on FOX8.
