CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A second man has been arrested in connection to the death of former Guilford County teacher Bianca Tanner, according to WSOC.

Lawrence Adrian Briscoe was arrested Friday for his involvement in the case. He has been charged with concealment of death.

Angelo Smith pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter on Thursday. Smith strangled Tanner and left her body in the woods.

He pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter, kidnapping, concealment of a death and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. His plea will get him 19 years in prison.

Tanner’s friends and family searched for her for several weeks after she disappeared, and it wasn’t until police arrested Smith for leaving Tanner’s small child in the home that he confessed to her murder.
