North Carolina woman accused of hiding meth in shoe

Lauren Nicole Sherrill, 26, of Hickory

HICKORY, N.C. – A North Carolina woman is accused of hiding meth in her shoe.

The Hickory Daily Record reported that Lauren Nicole Sherrill, 26, of Hickory, faces various charges after police stopped her in a vehicle.

Hickory police stopped the vehicle early Friday morning for lacking license plate lights. The driver allegedly told police that the vehicle was recently purchased.

Police found .09 grams of methamphetamine in her shoe during a search. Police also said she dropped a meth pipe while in a patrol cruiser.

Sherrill was then charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued a $9,000 secured bond.
