Convenience store clerk locks herself in office during Winston-Salem robbery

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A convenience store clerk locked herself in an office during an attempted armed robbery early Friday morning.

The incident occurred at about 2:50 a.m. at the Kangaroo Store #3191 located at 4401 Kernersville Rd.

The clerk observed the suspect walking towards her while reaching for his waistband. The clerk immediately locked herself inside the office area while the suspect began yelling for her to come out. The suspect then left the area on foot running west around the business.

The suspect in this incident matches the description of two other robberies which occurred at two other convenient stores located in Kernersville earlier in the evening.

There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
