Man accused of carjacking 75-year-old man in Burlington arrested by Greensboro police
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police have arrested a man who is accused of carjacking a 75-year-old man at gunpoint in Burlington last week.
Jerrell Bobby Moore, 39, of Greensboro, was arrested along with three other people in the parking lot of the Wells Fargo at 3305 Battleground Avenue, Greensboro, at 10:40 a.m., according to Greensboro police Public Information Officer Susan Danielsen.
Greensboro police investigators believe they have enough evidence to charge the four with attempted bank robbery, Danielsen said. Detectives are working on formal charges.
Moore is also the suspect in the May 17 carjacking of 75-year-old Tom Wooding at the Burlington K&W restaurant, according to Sgt. Jeff Kology with Burlington police.
Burlington police have charged Moore with robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with the carjacking, Kology said.
All four suspects arrested this morning are currently confined in the Guilford County Jail.
The identities of the three other people arrested along with Moore have not been released.
