HIGH POINT, N.C. — A High Point teen is facing charges after allegedly kidnapping and robbing her mother.

Briana Nikole Young, 19, is facing charges of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon.

According to The High Point Enterprise, Young’s mother called the High Point Police Department around 1:30 a.m. Monday to report that her daughter used a knife to force her to withdraw $200 from an ATM.

Police reports state that the mother received minor injuries during the incident and was treated at her residence by Guilford County Emergency Medical Services.

Young’s $200,000 bond has since been posted.
