Motorcyclist injured in accident involving car in Davidson County

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A motorcyclist was injured in an accident in Davidson County on Wednesday evening, according to Highway Patrol.

The accident happened near the intersection of N.C. 109 and Midway School Road at about 6:30 p.m.

A motorcycle and a car collided in the accident, troopers said.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Troopers on the scene said alcohol was involved in the crash.

The identities of the driver of the car and the motorcyclist have not been released.

There is no word on charges at this time and troopers did not specify who had been drinking.
