SALISBURY, N.C. — Police are investigating a home invasion that left a woman dead and another person hospitalized overnight in Salisbury, according to WSOC.

Officers were called to 325 Crown Point Drive just after 11 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a call about a home invasion and robbery.

When they arrived, police found 38-year-old Lacynda Feimster shot dead inside her home.

Another person inside had been hit in the face with a weapon and taken to Novant Health Rowan Regional Medical Center. Their injuries were described as minor.

Family members said Feimster was a mother of four and had just celebrated one of her son’s birthdays Tuesday.
