Suspect arrested after high-speed chase across two Piedmont counties

REIDSVILLE, N.C. – A high-speed chase across two counties in the Piedmont ended with a crash and one man arrested.

The chase started in Reidsville and went down Highway 29 and ended on South Holden Road in Greensboro.

Reidsville police said they went to arrest the suspect, Chase Jackson, on six felony warrants in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

Police said the suspect then stole a car and took off, reaching speeds of up to 125 mph.

The suspect was exiting off Interstate 85 South at the Holden Road exit and lost control and crashed.

Jackson had no serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. The suspect will then be placed in the Rockingham County Detention Center.
