CARTERET COUNTY, N.C. — Multiple people had to be pulled from the water after the deck of a North Carolina waterfront restaurant collapsed.
WCTI reported that it happened at the Spouter Inn in Beaufort on Wednesday evening and resulted in no injuries.
First responders were called to the scene and found four women who had fallen about four feet in the water, according to officials.
The group was apparently trying to take a photo and the deck collapsed. Officials said the deck was designed for 10 people.
The women who fell in the water are taking responsibility because they apparently removed a rope that was preventing access to the pier.
