Thomasville man accused of stealing vehicle, breaking into three others

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. – A Thomasville man is accused of stealing a vehicle and breaking into three others in Randolph County.

Jesse Logan Elberson, 29, faces three counts of breaking or entering a motor vehicle, larceny of a motor vehicle, possessing a stolen motor vehicle and injury to personal property.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office said they receieved a report of three vehicle break-ins on April 25 on Summey Town Road in Trinity.

The victim had video footage of the suspect as he was breaking into these vehicles, according to the sheriff’s office.

Randolph County authorities also received a report of a stolen vehicle on Woods Dairy Road in Denton, about two miles from the vehicle break ins.

The vehicle that was stolen was later recovered in Davidson County, according to the sheriff’s office.

The suspect has been charged and is currently incarcerated at Iredell County Detention Facility. Bond information was not available.
