Shots fired, vehicle stolen during armed robbery in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Shots were fired and a vehicle was stolen during an armed robbery in Greensboro on Friday night.

At 9:13 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of South Booker Street in reference to a robbery from a person.

According to a news release from Greensboro police, the victim was unloading his vehicle when he was approached by a subject armed with a handgun and demanding his personal property.

The victim and the suspect fought over the gun and the gun was discharged multiple times, police said.

The suspect then took possession of the victim’s red 2015 Ford Fusion with North Carolina license plate DDL-1436 and left in an unknown direction.

No injuries were reported.
