Update 9:30 a.m. – One lane of westbound West Friendly Avenue has reopened. Both lanes of eastbound West Friendly are open.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – A Greensboro road is closed after a car crashed into a power pole and caused downed power lines.

Friendly Avenue is closed at College Road as live wires are down across Friendly in front of Harris Teeter, according to Greensboro police.

Friendly Avenue traffic is being diverted through Harris Teeter. Drivers are encouraged to avoid this area. Traffic signals in the area are out.
