Person killed in accident involving vehicle, 2 motorcycles in Davidson County

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A person was killed in an accident involving a vehicle and two motorcycles on Wednesday night.

The accident happened at about 8:45 p.m. on N.C. 109 near Murphy Drive. This is near Ledford Senior High School.

Sgt. S.M. Comer with Highway Patrol said two motorcycles were traveling southbound on N.C. 109. One of the motorcyclists crossed the center line, hit a vehicle head-on and was ejected off the motorcycle. The motorcyclist died as a result of their injuries.

Troopers said the deceased motorcyclist was a male.

Wallburg Fire and Rescue helped get a pinned-in driver out of the vehicle. The driver was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with minor injuries.
