Third arrest made in string of recent Burlington shootings

BURLINGTON, N.C. — A third person has been arrested in connection to multiple recent shootings reported throughout Burlington.

Kevon Shawn Dark, 24, of Burlington, was arrested today in the 1000 block of Alden Street, according to Sgt. J. Kology with Burlington police.

Dark is charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling.

Darion Trevon Crittle, 17, and Dominique Oneil Harvey, 24, both of Burlington, were already in custody in connection with the shootings.

Burlington police said the shootings appear to have been planned and appear to have intended targets. People, vehicles and occupied homes were shot at.

Innocent uninvolved victims have been caught in the crossfire in some situations, according to police.
