RALEIGH, N.C. — A Mecklenburg County woman battling breast cancer won the lottery for the second time this year, according to WNCT.

Gina Short won $250,000 in the All or Nothing game on April 29, according to officials with the North Carolina Education Lottery.

Short told lottery officials that at first she and her husband thought it must be a mistake because she won the lottery earlier this year.

In February, Short won $1 million in the Ultimate Millions second-chance drawing.

Short was diagnosed with breast cancer six years ago and is still undergoing treatment. Her husband said the winnings would go toward her treatments.
