BURLINGTON, N.C. — A man was injured in a hit-and-run accident in Burlington on Wednesday afternoon, according to Sgt. Michael Grusky with Burlington police.

The victim was traveling east on U.S. 70 on a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle shortly before 5 p.m.

A witness said a white sedan, possibly driven by a female, pulled out in front of him while exiting the parking lot of Harris Teeter at 2727 S. Church St. into the left turn lane for Shadowbrook Drive.

The victim tried to avoid the crash, which caused the motorcycle to fall on his leg. His injuries were not life-threatening, Grusky said.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Burlington police at (336) 229-3503.
