North Carolina Central University student found dead in dorm

DURHAM, N.C. — A death investigation is underway after a student was found dead inside a dorm at North Carolina Central University, according to WTVD.

Authorities have identified the student at 22-year-old Kewanne Malik Lee.

According to WTVD, Lee was found unresponsive in his room around 10 a.m.

Lee was a junior majoring in Health Education.

It is unclear what caused his sudden death. Officials say his death is not being investigated as suspicious, WTVD reports.

Grief counselors are available at Ruffin Hall and the student health building, according to WTVD.
