Tractor-trailer hauling 42k pounds of ham catches fire in NC

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A tractor-trailer hauling 42,000 pounds of ham caught fire early Saturday morning in Cumberland County, according to WRAL.

It reportedly happened as the driver was headed north on N.C. Hwy 87 in Gray’s Creek. Nobody was hurt.

Authorities said the cause of the fire was a mechanical malfunction.
