STOKES COUNTY, N.C. — Hail and heavy rain pelted parts of the Piedmont Triad as storms moved through on Thursday afternoon.

Sherron Boyles Capitano, who lives on Robertson Ridge Road in Quaker Gap northeast of King, sent FOX8 a video that shows the hail and heavy rain hitting vehicles outside her home.

Scott Boyles, who lives in Pinnacle, sent us photos showing an incredible amount of hail at his house after a storm moved through. There was so much that it looked as if it had snowed!

Scattered thunderstorms will continue to move across the Piedmont Triad this evening.
