Restaurant employee injured during armed robbery in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A restaurant employee was struck with a handgun during an armed robbery Tuesday night in Greensboro.

Officers with the Greensboro Police Department were called to Sapporo’s Fantasy Japanese Steakhouse at 2939 Battleground Ave. in reference to a robbery just after 10 p.m.

According to a release from Lt. T. D. Moore, two suspects, one of which had a handgun, entered the restaurant and demanded money.

The suspects held employees at gunpoint and struck one employee with the handgun before fleeing the area with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

The suspects left the area on a white moped.
